He is the Speaker of the Knesset, enjoying thus the best seat; nobody blocks his view up there. He is the first one to get the tea in the morning and always, always gets crispy cookies; the stale ones go to the opposition. He even gets personal updates from the chefs, those indefatigable conspirators. Reuven Rivlin is his name. Good position he got. It demands integrity, integrity and a bit more integrity. Does this lawyer of the Mishpaha Lohemet, proud member of the Likud, stands to the task? Did the Knesset take the right decision when voting him for the job with an overwhelming 75% rate of approval?

Back in 2007 the notorious American Jewish right-wing organization, the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) announced that it recognised the events in which an estimated 1.5 million Armenians were massacred as "genocide." The ADL's national director, Abraham Foxman, insisted that he made the decision after discussing the matter with ‘historians’. For some reason he failed to mention who the historians were, nor did he refer to their credibility or field of scholarship. However, Foxman also consulted with one holocaust survivor who supported the decision.  It was Elie Wiesel, not known for being a leading world expert on the Armenian ordeal.

For Jews, Jerusalem is its historic capital. Muslims also claim it for the third holiest site in Islam, containing the 35 acre Noble Sanctuary (al-Haram al-Sharif), including the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock.

The 1947 UN Partition Plan designated Jerusalem an international city under a UN Trusteeship Council. After Israel's 1947-48 War of Independence, it was divided between Israel and Jordan, and during Israel's 1967 Six-Day War, East Jerusalem was captured and occupied, its current status today.

The formerly held belief that Americans "have" a resilient or a responsive government, to the dictates of the citizens or the nation's needs, were killed with secret-bullets that were fired sixty-two years ago. Those wounds were inflicted by Dirty-Harry Truman in 1947 and the Republic has never been able to recover from Truman's treasonable actions, buried as they were in the shadows of the end of WWII.

Obama has come out in favor of forcing people arrested to submit DNA to a national database.

“President Barack Obama’s embrace of a national database to store the DNA of people arrested but not necessarily convicted of a crime is heartening to backers of the policy but disappointing to criminal-justice reformers, who view it as an invasion of privacy,” reports Politico. “Others also worry the practice would adversely affect minorities.”
